A Message Regarding Respectful Interactions with Birchwood Staff
At Birchwood, we are committed to providing a welcoming and positive environment for all of our members. We ask that everyone treat our staff with the same respect and courtesy that we strive to provide to you.
Our staff members are here to assist, support, and create a great experience for all members and non-members. Disrespectful behavior, whether in person or through other forms of communication, will not be tolerated. We value your feedback and encourage open dialogue, but it must be conducted in a respectful manner.
Thank you for helping us maintain a positive atmosphere for all.
New Credit Card Service Fee Effective Saturday, February 1st
We want to inform our valued players that a 3% service fee will be applied to all credit card payments starting on Saturday, February 1st. To avoid this fee, members may choose to switch their payment method to a debit card, cash, or check.
If you have a credit card currently on file, you may update your payment method at any time to a debit card to avoid the fee. Please contact us if you need assistance making the change.

Important Parking Notice
We would like to remind all members that additional parking is available in the rear lot, which can be accessed through the opening between Birchwood Racquet Club and Birchwood Fitness.
Please do not create your own parking spots in the main lot, as it creates a safety hazard. Moving forward, vehicles that block exits or pose a risk to safety will be towed.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping the parking area safe for everyone.
Discontinuation of Our App
Based on your feedback from our recent survey, we have made the decision to discontinue the use of our app. Moving forward, you can make court reservations and program registrations online at https://birchwood.clubautomation.com/, or by calling the club directly at 570-586-4030.
We appreciate your input and look forward to serving you through our improved online and phone systems!

Pickleball: Pickle & Pilsner: First Friday Happy Hour

Kick off your weekend with our First Friday Pickle & Pilsner Happy Hour – the perfect blend of fun and relaxation! Join us for an evening of friendly competition, great drinks, and casual vibes at our No-Glass Pickleball Event. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the game, this event is all about enjoying the social side of pickleball while sipping on cold pilsners.
BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage) – Enjoy your favorite brew while you play, but remember: no glass containers allowed for safety.
Pickleball Fun – No experience required! We’ll have open courts for both beginners and more experienced players to join in the action.
Relax and Socialize – After your match, hang out, relax, and enjoy the lively atmosphere with fellow pickleball enthusiasts. The perfect way to unwind after a long week!

Pickleball: Team Tournament
Date: Saturday, February 8th & Saturday, March 8th
Time: 1 - 7 pm
Price: Member $20/person ; Non-member $30/person
Description: This tournament is a Round Robin tournament that brings men and women together on a level playing court. In this format team matches are composed of four games, with the first two (2) games being women’s doubles or men’s doubles, and the final two (2) games consisting of mixed doubles. If teams are tied after the four (4) games, an innovative singles tiebreaker known as a DreamBreaker™ is played.

Improve your game with our Tennis Serve Workshop, designed for players of all skill levels looking to refine their serving technique. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, this hands-on session will focus on key elements such as:
Proper grip and stance
Developing a consistent toss
Mastering the power and spin of your serve
Effective first and second serves
Common serve mistakes and how to fix them
Led by a certified tennis coach with years of experience, this workshop offers personalized feedback and drills to help you serve with more confidence and precision. Space is limited, so be sure to register early!
